Engineering Services Division of VSM offers solutions and services in design, automation, engineering analysis and product development catering to the needs of modern day engineering industries. Our team is blended with good engineering basics, industrial knowledge and software expertise. The group provides a range of engineering services in CAD, CAE, customization and cataloging. The Group partners with organizations collaborating India Development Centers (IDCs). They will function as a virtual extension of the customers' engineering teams.

Product Design
 Our team works on the entire product design cycle, starting from concept and design, product layout/assembly planning, and component design, to assembly design, and assembly analysis. We believe in constant customer interaction, to ensure the best results.

  • Legacy Conversion: Translation of age old drawings on paper and 2D drafter packages which are converted to latest CAD files with ensured quality at an effective cost.
  • Modeling: Our team's geometrical design intent and behavioral modeling is used to optimize the design. We use optimized techniques to obtain best CAD models which are parametric, relation driven and also interdependent.
  • Drafting: We generate of engineering production drawings or assembly layout drawings matching customer specifications. We follow international drafting standards set by ISO, DIN, JIS, ANSI, BIS as per customer requirements.
  • Tolerance analysis and Mass property calculation: Our team uses the latest tolerance software for performing tolerance analysis for assemblies. We also do check the assembly over C.G. and the M.I. and modify them accordingly for better stability
  • Generating Manufacturing Drawings and Bill of Material (BOM): We generate component model/drawing of Manufacturing Drawings showing references to the process along with details of Dimensional Tolerance Requirements and Surface Finish Data, wherever necessary. The Bill of Material (BOM) is derived from the CAD assembly and can be generated in customer-defined format.

CAE - Analysis

  • Structural, Static, Dynamic, Vibration and Thermal analysis using both Linear & Non-linear analysis.
  • Kinematics motion simulation & analysis.
  • Finite Element Analysis using state of the art analysis tools such as Ansys, Nastran/Patran, cosmos works .

CAM - Manufacturing

  • Generation & Simulation of NC tool paths for NC Machines (3 to 5 axes) using solid/surface models from other CAD systems
  • NC Part programming.
  • Tool and Die design: Design and development of Tools for sheet metal, plastic components, die casting, jig and fixtures. Cores, cavities, die and punches including the electrodes for high precision non conventional machining. Jigs and fixtures, dies and punches, die design for cast, forged and sheet metal components.
  • Mold Design: The Group provides mold designs for plastic components from finished product data.
